Is the middle class dying away?
In the previous post I referred to an article. Talking about consumers purchasing small ticket luxury items, the reporter wrote this:
“The middle market guy is gone,” said Steve Greenberg, president of IMG Jewelry, a jewelry store near Cleveland. “The guy who had $500 to $1,000 to spend is gone. He’s paying for gas and food.”
Ok, now That’s frightening. No wonder our economy seems to be a flailing dead duck, (like our leader). For years the American economy has depended upon the middle class consumer. Well my friends those days may be over. If the middle class American consumer has been reduced to concerning himself with gas and food, then we are in the deep weeds. No Middle class means no one to prop up the poor or service the rich.
What will the rich ever do??
